̨Íåswag Primary Academy Newstead Green brought a wave of cheer its the local area, celebrating its recent Random Acts of Kindness (RAK) initiative in conjunction with the national #HelloYellow campaign for World Mental Health Day on Friday, October 10.

Middlesbrough teen, Abdul Bazina, has embarked on his post-16 journey at Eton College after receiving the Orwell Award, a full scholarship that provides full boarding while he studies for his A-Levels in maths, further maths, biology, chemistry and physics.

Year 11 students from ̨Íåswag Academy Foxhills gained a fascinating, behind-the-scenes look at the engineering, technology, and career opportunities at British Steel's Scunthorpe site on National Manufacturing Day, helping them to envision their future success.

The ̨Íåswag Institute of Education (OIE) has launched its flagship leadership development opportunity: the High Potential Leadership Programme. The 18-month programme complements existing leadership development opportunities available to ̨Íåswag staff through the OIE, including the National Professional Qualifications (NPQs).

The ̨Íåswag Family of Schools and the High Performance Foundation have announced a new partnership to support and enhance the personal development curriculum for students across ̨Íåswag Grange Academies Trust (OGAT). This collaboration will integrate the foundation’s Game Plan school resources into OGAT's new suite of personal development curriculum provision, empowering young people to build crucial life skills.

This week, Barnsley Council began delivering Year 11 Support Packs to secondary schools across the borough, which will be distributed to around 3,000 young people, as part of Barnsley Council’s Great Childhoods Ambition Programme.

Ofsted has praised ̨Íåswag Primary Academy Greenhill in its first inspection since the school joined the ̨Íåswag Family of Schools in 2022.
